Celebrating the SSR Weekly’s 3rd anniversary! By: Antoine Vandemoortele | SSR Weekly | Jul 4, 2016

Three years ago, we launched the SSR Weekly and it completely exceeded our expectations. We started with a simple goal: to deliver the best news, analysis and publications on security sector reform and security governance in fragile and conflict-affected countries in inboxes around the world to academics, researchers, analysts and practitioners each week.

Dear SSR Weekly Readers,

Thank you for your support! Your continued support in the last 3 years really means a lot to us.

We knew there was a demand for such product – after all, we were, and still are, huge consumers of newsletters on a wide variety of international relations and foreign policy issues – but we were not prepared for such early success, followed by a sustained growth ever since! 3 weeks after we launched on July 2 2013, our mailing list had over 500 subscribers, we hit 1,000 subscribers in our first year, and are now fast approaching 2,000 readers, with 156 newsletters published! Thank you to each and every one reading the SSR Weekly! Your continued support and feedback has been fantastic and tremendously helpful. All of us at the Centre for Security Governance want to thank our readers for their loyalty and support in the past 3 years.

Looking back, eating cupcakes and celebrating this milestone is only part of what we want to do today though. Innovation is one of our core values at the Centre for Security Governance and this milestone is a good opportunity to think about how we can further improve the SSR Weekly. And we need your help! We have created a survey to gather feedback and comments. The survey will take 3-4 minutes to complete, and your responses will help us improve our newsletter. The Centre for Security Governance values your input and would greatly appreciate if you could fill out this survey before July 15. Thank you!
